Last week, when Survios finally released their much-anticipated horror-shooter, Alien: Rogue Incursion (2024), we weren’t aware it was just the beginning of a larger saga. Contrary to initial assumptions, purchasing the game doesn’t mean you’re only getting half the story, but rather that there’s more yet to unfold.
When the game launched on PC VR and PSVR 2, the addition of ‘Part One’ puzzled many. Was this a complete game, or were they planning to release it in segments? In our comprehensive review, we found the eight-hour journey to be a full-fledged experience, meriting a solid [7/10] for its engrossing settings and heart-pounding skirmishes with Xenomorphs. However, the enjoyment was slightly undercut by the repetitive foes and its harsh save system.
Survios has since clarified the situation on social media, explaining their intentions behind the ‘Part One’ tag. It’s not about dividing the game into episodes for profit; rather, it’s the first part of a two-part narrative. While the initial episode concludes with a tantalizing cliffhanger, they’re already hard at work on Part Two, promising even tougher adversaries and challenges ahead. This is surely a delightful prospect for fans.
Currently, we’re also keenly anticipating the game’s performance upon its release on Quest 3/3S, scheduled for February 13th, 2025. Our review highlighted its dynamically loading levels, detailed textures, and a plethora of physics-based interactions—factors likely contributing to the initial delay in its Quest release.
Here’s the complete statement from Survios for our community:

To our valued community,
We’ve heard your feedback regarding the ‘Part One’ label in Alien: Rogue Incursion’s introduction, achievement list, and store pages. Our intention was never to mislead or confuse about the nature of this game. We now see how ‘Part One’ could alter perceptions.
This iteration stands alone, albeit ending with a cliffhanger to signify more adventures on the horizon. Part Two was confirmed at launch because we couldn’t wait to enrich the legacy of Zula, Davis, and others within the universe. Although we have no announcements about Part Two beyond its active development, stay tuned for exciting news.
We appreciate the enthusiasm and fervor you’ve shown for Alien: Rogue Incursion. We hope you find exploring Purdan and Castor’s Cradle as thrilling as we did while crafting it.
