Silent North, the latest sandbox survival shooter from Ghosts of Tabor studio Combat Waffle, has made its debut on early access for both Quest and PC VR headsets.
Drawing inspiration from Face Punch Studio’s iconic game Rust (2013), Silent North invites players into a dynamic sandbox environment where they set the rules. Whether you choose to forge alliances, double-cross others, or simply immerse yourself in its continuously evolving world, the game promises a unique experience.
Scott Albright, the CEO and founder of Combat Waffle Studios, highlighted the contrast with their other hit, Ghosts of Tabor. “Silent North offers a distinct experience, veering away from the high-stakes, tactical raids that define Ghosts of Tabor. It’s all about survival, and we’re infusing the genre with immersive VR elements that’s been missing from other games,” Albright explained.
As expected, the game doesn’t just challenge you with other players; it throws environmental hazards and aggressive Infected, also known as zombies, into the mix.
If this piques your interest, Silent North is available now as an “alpha Early Access” release. You can find it on the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and newer models, as well as on Steam for PC VR headsets, with a price tag of $20.
