Since the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the flow of content has been relentless. Now, believe it or not, we’re just about to dive into the game’s second season.
With Season 1 wrapping up, now’s your last chance to tackle those remaining Battle Pass tiers. Season 2 promises fresh excitement with a brand-new Battle Pass, including a BlackCell variant, and a steady stream of updates and in-game events to keep you hooked.
This upcoming season will cover Zombies and Warzone modes, featuring shared leveling and rewards with Black Ops 6 multiplayer. Exciting times ahead for Call of Duty fans.
Curious about when Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 kicks off? Mark your calendar for January 28. That leaves little time to wrap up the Season 1 Battle Pass before it disappears into oblivion, replaced by the new one.
While we don’t have an exact launch time yet, past patterns suggest it could be in the morning Pacific time, or sometime between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. UK time. As expected with a new season, a game update download will likely be necessary before diving into the action.
So, what does Season 2 have in store for us in Black Ops 6 and Warzone? Thus far, all we have are cryptic teasers invoking the question, “Will you be the hunter or the hunted?”
The teasers include images of a mysterious operator, poised to take center stage this season, wielding a Tanto—a Japanese weapon. As for wallrunning, though tempting to assume it’s on the horizon, it remains off the table for now as part of Omnimovement features.
Looking ahead, we know a new Zombies map, The Tomb, is on its way. Plus, improvements are coming for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone, particularly a feature to allow console players to opt out of crossplay in ranked modes—a welcome change amid ongoing concerns about cheating.
Cheating has long been a sore point for the community, especially affecting the high-ranking tiers in competitive play. While separating ladders for console players could help, the Ricochet anti-cheat system is where the real overhaul is needed to curb unfair play.
The recent community update sheds light on plans stretching from Season 2 into Season 3, so definitely worth a read if you haven’t checked it out yet.
For now, we wait in anticipation for the arrival of Season 2 and the bounty of content it promises.
