Here’s a glimpse of what’s included in today’s PS Portal update:
Organize Your Library: From now on, you can easily sort the games in your Cloud Streaming catalog. With a new sorting icon at the top-left of the screen, you can arrange your games by the latest additions to PS Plus (default setting), alphabetically, or by release date.
Gameplay Captures: The Create button on your PS Portal gains new functionality during Cloud Streaming. Here’s how you can make the most of it:
- Press it once to open the create menu.
- Hold it down to snap a screenshot.
- Hit it twice to start or stop recording a video clip.
Waiting Your Turn: In cases where the streaming server is at capacity, you’ll now be able to queue. The screen will show your estimated wait time, and your session will begin automatically when it’s your turn.
Pausing Gameplay: There are new circumstances where your gameplay will pause in a Cloud Streaming session:
- If you access the PS Portal quick menu, which you can do by pressing the PS button, swiping left from the screen’s top-right corner, or tapping the quick access icon on the status bar, gameplay will pause.
- Pressing the power button once will put your PS Portal into rest mode, pausing your game until you press it again. If the device stays in rest mode longer than 15 seconds, the streaming session will disconnect.
- Any system error messages popping up at the screen’s bottom will also pause gameplay.
Inactivity Alerts: You’ll now receive notifications if your session is on the brink of closing after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Feedback Opportunity: There’s a newly added user feedback screen at the end of each streaming session, letting you rate your streaming experience.
