The OpenSim Worlds Fair is gearing up for its grand opening on March 1, 2025, promising a vibrant celebration of innovation, creativity, art, technology, fashion, and education within the OpenSim community.
This eagerly anticipated event has been a year in the making, bringing together the entire OpenSim community under one virtual roof. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase the diverse talents and achievements that define our unique digital world.
Leading the charge are seasoned event organizers Cooper Swizzle, Koshari Mahana, Kimm Starr, and entertainment coordinator Rosa Alekseev. With almost two decades of virtual world experience, they’re deeply committed to enhancing events across the hypergrid. Their dedication to promoting creativity and innovation ensures that this fair will be an unforgettable experience, highlighting the best offerings from the hypergrid.
Taking place on the Wolf Territories grid, owned by Lone Wolf, the fair aims to unite people from varied backgrounds and interests within the virtual community.
The OpenSim Worlds Fair will boast at least 17 themed stages, offering an eclectic mix of music genres such as rock and roll, Motown, Latin, and retro. This varied lineup promises to keep attendees entertained, providing a lively backdrop for connecting with others. Each stage theme is carefully curated to complement the acts performing, and special thanks go to Rosa Alekseev for her tireless work and exceptional dedication in coordinating the fair’s entertainment.
For exhibitors eager to participate, we are offering 72 parcels, although some spaces remain available. While the full region-sized parcels have been snapped up, there are still smaller parcels ready for those looking to make their mark.
A few free exhibition spaces are also on offer, presenting a prime opportunity to share your vision and creativity. This is a chance to be part of a celebration that champions progress and fosters cultural exchange across the hypergrid.
On October 23, 2024, Thirza Ember’s Hypergrid Safari tour made a pitstop at the Worlds Fair, drawing attendees excited to soak in the energy and creativity coming to life. Participants were treated to an exclusive sneak peek of the fairgrounds, exploring the exhibits and immersive installations.
Attendees were excited to share their feedback. James Atlloud noted how “amazing” the setup looked and praised the grid’s stability. Forest Azure remarked on its “Second Life quality,” while Lavia LLavine expressed eager anticipation for March, commending the organizers’ efforts.
Star Ravenhurst took to the Hypergrid Safari Facebook page, saying there’s excitement in the air despite some incomplete builds. She emphasized how this event is shaping up to be a can’t-miss occasion bursting with fun, innovation, and flair. Be sure to mark your calendars!
