Microsoft has just dropped a trio of new Xbox Series consoles: the sleek Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition, the eye-catching Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition, and, last but not least, the Xbox Series S sporting 1TB of storage.
Pricing
For those curious about the price tags, the Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition rings in at $599.99. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition, which comes in a clean white finish, is priced at $449.99. The Xbox Series S 1TB, also white, is a more budget-friendly option at $349.99. However, if you’re reading this from India, you might have to wait a bit longer, as these consoles haven’t hit the shelves there yet.

Technical Changes
In a detailed breakdown by YouTuber Austin Evans, a few significant tweaks set these new models apart from the Xbox Series X debut model from 2020. Notably, Microsoft has introduced a fresh heatsink design. The motherboard has also seen an overhaul, and the SSD is now exposed, giving it a snazzy new look under the hood.

Evans dives deeper, revealing that the latest Xbox Series X hardware includes a more compact 6nm System on Chip (SoC). He shared some interesting power consumption stats too. While sitting idle, the original 2020 Xbox Series X uses around 61 watts. In comparison, the 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition sips 51 watts, and the Digital Xbox Series X goes even lower at a mere 38 watts. Further testing with a gaming title like Forza Horizon 5 shows consumption figures where the Series X draws 167 watts, the Digital Edition taps out at 156 watts, and the Galaxy Black Special Edition consumes 151 watts.
