When “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” debuted last December, it was met with a wave of critical acclaim and quickly amassed a player base of 4 million. The game also walked away with multiple accolades, most notably Adventure Game of the Year at the 28th D.I.C.E. Awards.
For me, it was an unforgettable journey, earning the top spot as my personal game of the year for 2024. My review echoed this sentiment, stating, “From every line delivered with precision and every scene crafted with care, down to Indy’s smirk while solving puzzles, it’s evident that MachineGames understands the magic of Indiana Jones. This is a game that comfortably stands beside the original trilogy.”
We’re also eagerly awaiting further details on the promised Order of Giants story DLC, which comes as part of the Premium Edition package.
As PlayStation 5 prepares for this release, April itself is brimming with new titles from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
Compulsion Games kicks off the month on April 8 with “South of Midnight,” offering early access five days prior. Meanwhile, “Towerborne” enters Xbox Game Preview by April 29, with both titles available on Xbox Game Pass.
Adding to the excitement, Playground Games’ “Forza Horizon 5” gets a late port, launching at the close of April with a four-day early access for Premium Edition purchasers.
And if the buzz is to be believed, we might also witness the unveiling and launch of a “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion” remake from Bethesda Game Studios this April.
Whether or not these rumors come to fruition, April is shaping up to be one of the busiest months in recent memory for game releases under a single umbrella, albeit across different publishers.
Though some overlap exists with Xbox users already familiar with “Indiana Jones” and “Forza Horizon 5,” this month’s lineup is still quite a spectacle.
