World of Assassination, the central hub for the latest Hitman trilogy, has grown to captivate over 75 million players since its launch.
This news comes from IO Interactive, the game’s developer and publisher, who mentioned that in December 2024 alone, one million players were actively engaging with the game.
Initially launched as Hitman 3 in 2021, the game was later rebranded to incorporate content from the 2016 Hitman reboot and its 2017 sequel.
“Hitman World of Assassination remains incredibly popular, thanks to ongoing updates and a passionate community,” IO expressed in a statement.
They further teased, “With fresh content slated for Hitman World of Assassination in 2025, fans can anticipate even more hours of thrilling gameplay.”
Recently, IO added an intriguing mission where players get the chance to target 80s and 90s action icon Jean-Claude Van Damme. Interestingly, 40% of those attempting the mission have successfully taken down the movie star.
