For those not in the know, the Warbond features a nifty emote that lets your helldiver tip their imaginary hat in true cowboy fashion. The catch? The game doesn’t actually offer a hat to tip, which has ruffled a few feathers among players. Arrowhead’s explanation, rooted in the lore, is that cowboy hats don’t exactly align with Super Earth’s strict uniform codes. However, players are less than thrilled with this explanation.

But if you’re ready to bend those rules, modder Doomdiverr has a solution. Their latest creation, the ‘Hd2 Cow Boys Helmets,’ is now available, seemingly the only cowboy hat mod up on Nexus Mods at the moment. This mod’s friendly compromise is that you’ll need to swap out the new helmets introduced with Borderline Justice for one of the game’s older helmets. It cleverly adds stetsons to the base B-01 armor, so you’re still wearing something from your Helldiver boot camp days.

Fashion-wise, there are four color options to choose from. Whether you fancy a rugged brown or a sleek black stetson, you can also channel your inner outlaw by painting a skull on it for that extra bandito vibe. These hats pair well with both the Borderline Justice sets and the latest Democracy’s Deputy armor available in the Super Store.
