In Synth Beasts, you step into the shoes of a lab experiment gone awry—a “Synth,” who manages to break free from a creator’s facility located on an enigmatic island. As you navigate the surrounding archipelago, you’ll run into other Synths, but don’t expect a warm welcome. They’ll challenge you to battles, and when you emerge victorious, you’ll unlock them as playable characters. This grants you access to their unique skills, useful for both fights and uncovering the world’s mysteries.
As you employ your Synths in combat, they’ll earn experience points, enabling them to level up. Each one boasts five levels of growth, each with distinct perks. However, the higher their level, the longer it takes to gain experience, prompting you to frequently switch between them. Doing so will help you make the most of your team’s potential and open up new abilities.
Take the “Psitek” Synth, for instance. It can ignite torches right from the get-go, and by reaching level three, it gains a fire slash capable of destroying projectiles—an ability that proves invaluable in certain dungeons. But beware, beyond this point, most of its bonuses focus on enhancing combat. So, you might find it more beneficial to switch to a different Synth to unlock fresh abilities with fewer experience points.
Early on, you’ll stumble upon a boat, an abandoned tool of your former captors, ready for you to commandeer. The Genesis Archipelago is brimming with petite islands, each hiding bonanzas like extra hearts, stat-enhancing items, and currency for shopping. If scouring every nook isn’t your style, feel free to skip to the main islands and directly confront the scientists to dismantle their elusive operations.
On these main islands, you’ll encounter boss Synths, though optional islands are home to some as well. Capturing more than 40 Synths is no simple task, but the Genesis Archipelago is laden with hidden treasures awaiting discovery by the determined adventurer.
Set sail across the Genesis Archipelago, liberate the Synth Beasts, and bring the scientists’ malevolent experiments to a standstill! Synth Beasts is set to release in 2025 and will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the Microsoft Store.
