At Xbox, we truly appreciate your passion for gaming, and we’re excited to introduce some awesome new ways for players to rack up rewards points. Whether it’s diving into Quests on the PC Game Pass, reimagined Game Pass Quests, or enjoying weekly rewards, there are plenty of opportunities for players aged 18 or older to earn points while they play.
Today marks an important update regarding our Rewards program. We’re aligning more closely with our mission to offer positive and age-appropriate gaming experiences, meaning you’ll need to be at least 18 to earn points through gameplay activities.
Game Pass Quests Debut on PC
Previously, Quests were reserved exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate enthusiasts. However, starting January 7, PC Game Pass members can join the fun. This rollout includes new ways to earn Rewards points on PC, in addition to opportunities on console and mobile. Plus, we’re bringing Game Pass Quests to Japan, giving the region a full taste of what Xbox Rewards are all about.
If you’re 18 or over and a member of either Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, you can start easily:
- Dive into new Quests by heading to your Xbox profile and accessing the Rewards Hub, which you can find on your console, the Xbox app for mobile, or the Xbox app on your Windows PC.
- Earn points by playing the games you love through Game Pass.
- Claim your points directly in the Rewards Hub.
Once you’ve gathered enough points, swap them for Xbox gift cards to spend on games, in-game content, donations, and more. Note that we’ve implemented a minimum playtime requirement to earn points, and at present, Quests are only available for titles in the Game Pass catalog. PC games that rely on third-party launchers or are played via Battle.net won’t be included. For all the details, visit Xbox.com/Rewards.

Fresh Game Pass Quests Await
We’ve revamped Game Pass Quests to make them more user-friendly and entertaining, enabling you to score even more points by simply indulging in games you love or discovering new favorites. You’ll find daily, weekly, and monthly quests to stack up your Rewards—and yes, we’ve brought back the popular weekly streaks.
Here’s how you can collect points as part of Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass perks (do note that rewards can vary by region and terms and conditions may change):
- Daily Play: Earn 10 points each day by playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
- Weekly Streaks: Play at least five days a week to keep your streak alive. The longer the streak, the more points you can earn. For a 2-week streak, you earn double the base streak points; for three weeks, it’s triple, and so on, up to 4x beyond a month.
- Monthly 4-Pack: Explore by playing four different games each month, 15 minutes minimum each.
- Monthly 8-Pack: Challenge yourself further by playing eight unique games, with sessions of at least 15 minutes per game each month. Don’t worry—your 4-Pack games apply to this challenge too.
Exciting New Reward Earning Opportunities for Everyone
These updates aren’t just for Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass members. Starting January 7, 2025, all Rewards members aged 18 and above can enjoy the new PC Weekly Bonus, granting 150 points for playing 15 minutes or more over five days each week.
Additionally, we’re tweaking the points system: the existing Console Weekly Bonus will now offer 150 points, and the Daily PC Play will award 10 points.
Upcoming Changes in ‘Play and Earn’
Xbox is dedicated to ensuring an enjoyable and suitable gaming environment for all our users. Thus, from now on, only players 18 or older will be eligible to earn Reward points through gameplay. Consequently, the Rewards Hub across Xbox console, mobile app, and PC app will not be accessible to players under 18.
Fear not, this won’t affect any points previously earned. Under the guidance of their parents, younger players can still collect Microsoft Rewards points via eligible items bought at the Microsoft Store, eligible Bing searches, and other non-gaming activities such as finishing the Microsoft Rewards Daily Set. They can also continue managing and redeeming their points at Rewards.Microsoft.com.
We’re eager to see all the fantastic rewards you’ll unlock—just by playing with Xbox. You’re already playing, so why not start earning?
