This remake has hit a bit of a bump.
In this week’s episode, we kick things off with a deep dive into Death Wish 4 (00:00:26) as part of our extended look at the 1-900-103-4RFN offerings. Though it starts as just a part of the introduction, it quickly becomes classic RFN content.
A fair chunk of time is cheerfully spent on establishing our hosts’ voices and names for newcomers—and updating our regulars on Jon’s likely absence. Soon, however, we dive into the exciting world of NEW BUSINESS! Greg provides a brief update on Mario & Luigi: Brothership and then transitions us smoothly into a discussion about a new NSO offering: Donkey Kong Land (00:13:38). James, on his usual thoughtful behavior, tackles the freshly released KUUKYOMI 4: Consider It (00:31:04). Despite their repetitive nature, these games continue to be silly yet entertaining. Guillaume offers his closing thoughts on Trials of Mana (00:39:54), which, surprise, is actually a great game. Plus, it’s part of the Nintendo Black Friday sale. He’s noticeably less taken with the Amazon series Like a Dragon: Yakuza (00:45:43). Meanwhile, Jon found himself purchasing Skyrim once again (01:05:01). This run, it’s for the PS5, and, yes, he’s genuinely playing it this time. He and James share strategies on how to buy vouchers for the eShop and Xbox Live.
After a break, the team gets down to business, picking out eight Nintendo DS games—two each—as they deliberate on which game to choose for The Nintendo DS 20th Anniversary Retroactive (01:15:27). Want to know what they decided? Tune in and find out.
Keep the excitement alive!
