After over six months of anticipation since the arrival of Patch 7, Larian Studios has finally rolled out its eighth and final update for Baldur’s Gate 3. This release brings with it some eagerly awaited features, including cross-play, a photo mode, and split-screen play specially designed for the Xbox Series S. To mark the occasion, Larian added a unique twist to their animated short featuring the beloved BG3 characters, complete with a metatextual cameo and a surprise ending that’s sure to delight fans.
However, what truly has my hardcore BG3 friends buzzing with excitement is the addition of 12 new subclasses. These fresh options give each of the game’s iconic Dungeons & Dragons classes a new layer, inviting players to dive back into the world to discover new synergies and experience the epic 70-plus-hour adventure all over again.
