The much-awaited sequel, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land, from KOEI Tecmo America and Gust, has officially hit the shelves today for consoles. Dive in and explore what it has to offer!
As we go about our daily lives, we create and weave memories, nurturing our “Souls” in the process. This game tells the tale of a journey across a ravaged continent, where each step taken paves the way for a brighter tomorrow.
Memory serves as the cornerstone of this title. It’s a reminder that everyone, at some point, must face their past and the memories they hold. The good and bad times together shape who we become and lay the foundation for our future.
Atelier Yumia is an emotional narrative that follows Yumia and her friends as they confront their memories, gathering the courage to move forward despite their doubts.
Let’s delve into the story a bit: the Aladissian Empire once flourished on a certain continent, a powerhouse driven by advanced alchemy that kept potential threats at bay. However, a sudden and inexplicable disaster led to its downfall. Fast forward a few centuries, and alchemy is now labeled a forbidden art — deemed destructive, evil, and taboo in the current age.
Yumia Reisfelt steps into this precarious land. Having lost her mother in an accident three years ago, she discovered her family’s alchemist roots — sparking a storm of questions.
Why did Aladiss fall? Why has alchemy become taboo? Is it truly evil?
Driven by the belief that the answers lie in the lost history of the continent, Yumia embarks on a daring quest to uncover the truth.
