Upcoming 2XKO Update: Exciting Jinx Details, Gameplay Changes, and More Expected This Month

Hold onto your controllers, folks! Some intriguing updates about 2XKO have just surfaced on social media, making this month a lot more thrilling than we might have anticipated. Granted, the news is essentially about an upcoming development update video. But we can now confidently anticipate a comprehensive briefing on game changes, specific details about Jinx, and the subsequent Alpha Lab test that’s set to debut soon.

The bearer of this exciting update? None other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief of 2XKO, who eagerly shared the scoop via Twitter. He revealed, “We just wrapped up filming the next 2XKO update! Although we’re in the thick of editing, production, and localization, here’s a taste of what’s coming: an in-depth exploration of our gameplay modifications since Alpha Lab 1 (yep, including Jinx!), some background and info on Alpha Lab 2, and a showmatch featuring our dev team.”

Continuing with the update, he mentioned, “It’s quite a thorough update, diving deep into the details, so expect the video to be pretty lengthy—around an hour or so? We’re aiming to release the update by the last week of March. While we’re not quite ready to embrace PowerPoint livestreams for the masses, that day will come…”

But, as a gentle reminder not to get overly optimistic, Ben also clarified that this update won’t include any new character reveals. So maybe hold off on placing any bets for now.

Last year, the 2XKO team teased us with a “See you next year” message, promising fresh updates come February. As it turns out, game director Shaun Rivera chimed in on Twitter too, pointing out a few changes. These involve an altered scope for the upcoming Alpha Labs test and a fresh spark for the game.

It appears that some internal shifts and plans at Riot have nudged the originally planned February update to this month. Nevertheless, with the game still geared up for launch this year, it will be refreshing to dive into all the current happenings, the projects in progress, and perhaps catch a glimpse of where 2XKO will venture into the world next.
