Claymation VR Adventure ‘The Midnight Walk’ Arriving on PSVR 2 & PC VR in May; Gameplay Unveiled

MoonHood is set to unveil its much-anticipated adventure game, The Midnight Walk, which will make its way to PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets on May 8, 2025.

The latest trailer gives us a deeper dive into the gameplay of The Midnight Walk. It highlights some captivating object interactions and intriguing shooter mechanics that have caught the attention of many gamers.

In this immersive experience, players step into the shoes of ‘The Burnt One.’ Alongside you is Potboy, a whimsical lantern creature whose flame becomes your guiding light through your journey.

According to the developers, players will have to rely on stealth, smarts, and a few clever tricks to keep Potboy’s flame alive. The adventure promises five unique tales woven with themes of fire and darkness and introduces a fascinating mix of eccentric characters you’ll meet along the way.

What sets the game apart visually are its characters, which are brought to life through a unique combination of hand modeling and 3D scanning. This technique lends the game a charm reminiscent of the beloved style seen in The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Beyond its VR release, The Midnight Walk will also be accessible to players on traditional screens via PlayStation 5 and PC. The game is priced at $40 on the PlayStation Store, where pre-orders are already available, and PC gamers can add it to their wishlist on Steam.
