Intel’s XeSS 1 has now found its way into over 150 games, and there’s no slowing down as more are set to incorporate it soon. XeSS 2 is also starting to make its debut.
In a major milestone, Intel’s push for XeSS support has extended to over 150 titles. XeSS 2 is on the horizon, promising to further enhance gaming experiences, though it’s still in its infancy.
Intel, breaking new ground as a discrete GPU manufacturer, first introduced their super-sampling technique with the initial Intel Arc Alchemist series. It’s been over two years since the inception of XeSS, and through consistent development, we now have XeSS 2.
While XeSS 2 is yet to gain widespread traction, the original XeSS 1.0, along with its updates, has been embraced by a vast array of games. Intel recently announced this impressive feat—over 150 games currently support XeSS, with more on the way.
For those curious, a comprehensive list exists of all the games utilizing XeSS technology, including some major blockbuster titles. However, XeSS still faces stiff competition from AMD’s FSR and NVIDIA’s DLSS.
On Twitter, Intel Gaming proudly shared, “We’ve hit the mark on 150+ games with #XeSS support, with more on the way! Experience peak gaming for yourself with Intel XeSS AI upscaling today.”
Despite the achievements, Intel continues to face challenges in competing with industry rivals, but the improvements are noteworthy. Most games right now support XeSS 1 and its updates. On the other hand, XeSS 2 has only been integrated into two games thus far: F1 2024 and Marvel Rivals. Excitingly, fans can anticipate updates to both existing and soon-to-be-released games like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Killing Floor 3, which will support the latest XeSS 2 technology.
Furthermore, a handful of games have started to incorporate Intel’s XeSS Frame Generation. However, its reach isn’t quite on par with the FSR and DLSS Frame Gen methods. It’s important to note that XeSS 2 and Frame Generation are compatible exclusively with Intel Arc Battlemage GPUs. At present, the lineup includes only the Arc B580 and Arc B570, which are scarce in the market.
