This week, we dove into our picks for the Top Five Games of 2024. If you’re not familiar with how RFN handles these things, let me break it down for you: we pretty much wing it. Seriously, there are almost no rules. The games can be anything played on Nintendo systems in 2024. But honestly, even that’s more of a suggestion than a hard and fast rule. Ideally, you’d want to have actually played the game in 2024, though we’ve made exceptions when the circumstances called for it.

Considering how laid-back this approach is, trying to agree on a single collective Top Five list would be a fool’s errand. So, each list is a personal reflection of our own gaming experiences.

Interestingly, there’s some overlap in our choices. In fact, two lists actually have the same game sitting at the number one spot. I’ll bet you won’t be able to guess which game it is—I’m confident about that. Sure, there’s always someone who claims they’ve figured it out, but I’m pretty sure they’re just pulling our leg.
