Update: Good news! The service is now back up and running.
Let’s take a look at the original incident…
Several EA games, notably from the Battlefield and FIFA/EA Sports FC series, went offline after the servers unexpectedly crashed. This issue started to surface a few hours ago on Sunday morning, with the majority of reports coming from players trying to access Battlefield.
### EA Online Servers Outage: Affected Games
I first ran into the problem myself while attempting to log into Battlefield V — which, by the way, is an awesome game and currently available at a great discount on the PlayStation Store. I was greeted with an error stating that I was unable to connect to EA Online. After doing a quick search online, it became clear that not just Battlefield V, but also other Battlefield titles such as Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 2042 were facing the same connectivity issues.
Some players have also mentioned that FIFA/EA Sports FC games were being affected by similar online connection troubles. On the bright side, there haven’t been any confirmed reports yet that Apex Legends or other EA sports franchises are experiencing the same server problems. So, if you’re suddenly having trouble connecting to EA’s servers, you can safely assume the fault doesn’t lie with your internet service.
It’s certainly a bummer that the servers decided to go offline on a Sunday morning, of all times. EA hasn’t officially commented on the situation yet, and there’s no word on when a fix might be in place. Rest assured, we’ll keep this article updated as soon as EA’s servers are back up and fully operational.
