Cuisineer Launches on Nintendo Switch This Month

XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe have officially announced when Cuisineer will be hitting the Nintendo Switch, and fans can mark their calendars for this much-anticipated date.

Developed by BattleBrew Productions, Cuisineer offers a delightful blend of roguelite charms set within a dungeon crawler, where you’ll step into the shoes of Pom, a spirited young adventurer who’s about to become a restaurateur.

Pom returns to her quaint hometown, Paell, with hopes of managing her family’s restaurant, only to find it shuttered and heavily in debt. Determined to turn things around, the path to success is clear: revive the restaurant and restore it to its former glory.

To achieve this, Pom will have to embark on thrilling adventures into nearby dungeons. Armed with cooking utensils, she’ll face off against quirky foes like giant chickens, artillery shrimps, and fiery peppers—dangers you certainly don’t find in a typical kitchen.

The treasures you unearth in these forays aren’t your usual gold coins but rather ingredients that can be transformed into culinary delights. These, in turn, will help elevate your family’s humble eatery into the talk of the town and make your parents proud.

The publisher has highlighted some of the game’s standout features:

Craft Your Own Delicious Culinary Experience: Dive into over 100 recipes from around the globe, spanning from crispy Popiah rolls to decadent Kaya jam, and from double-fried crispy chicken enhanced with zesty lemon to berry-laden sweet treats. Satisfy the tastes of your customers while customizing your kitchen and restaurant with local artisans’ help.

2. A Smorgasbord of Dungeons: Wander through the Green Ruins, Frozen Fjord, Konpeito Swamps, and numerous other biomes that are procedurally generated, ensuring a unique adventure with varying resources and layouts every time you return.

Master the Flavors of Fighting: Dispatch creatures and competitors employing Salty, Sour, Sweet, Bitter, Umami, Frosty, and Toasty powers that unleash elements like flame, poison, and chain lightning. Equip yourself with one-of-a-kind utensils and gourmet gear, such as the Spatula, Smackerel, Swordfish, and Tenderiser!
