The ambitious sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, has made quite a splash, selling over 30 million copies so far. This exciting news came from Piotr Nielubowicz, the CFO of CD Projekt, as reported by VGC. His announcement coincided with the company’s financial results for the quarter ending in September.
In addition to this impressive milestone, the Phantom Liberty expansion has also performed remarkably well, selling more than eight million units. And there’s more on the horizon—Cyberpunk 2077 is set to become available on Mac devices soon, and yet another animation project set in its captivating universe is in development.
Piotr Nielubowicz shared his enthusiasm directly from Night City, highlighting the fantastic sales achievements. “Cyberpunk 2077 has crossed the 30 million sales mark, with the Phantom Liberty expansion reaching eight million units. These figures are not just numbers; they demonstrate the vast fanbase and the growing interest in the Cyberpunk world.”
He also touched on the significance of these developments for the company. “This is particularly crucial for us, especially with the recent announcement that Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion will be launching on Mac devices powered by Apple Silicon chips next year. On top of that, I’m thrilled to reveal we’re working on a new animation project in the Cyberpunk universe, which will be available on Netflix.”
