Bloodborne is often hailed as one of the top-tier Souls games available, renowned for its hauntingly dark aesthetic and enemies that could have stepped right out of an H.P. Lovecraft story. Despite its acclaim, one common gripe among fans is the game’s inability to run smoothly with a solid frame rate.
Interestingly, Ben Starr, known for his role as Clive Rosfield in Final Fantasy 16, has joined the chorus of fans eager for a re-release of this 2015 PlayStation 4 classic. As pointed out by GermanStrands on Twitter, Starr remarked at this year’s Golden Joystick Awards that it’s “absolutely criminal” we still don’t have an official version of Bloodborne running at 60 frames per second.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to imagine Sony changing its stance anytime soon. Despite persistent requests from fans and the creators at FromSoftware, nothing can move forward without Sony’s green light. Even though both the creators and the gaming community are clamoring for it, a high-frame-rate version of Bloodborne remains elusive for now.
